Jeff represents and advises UConn Health on the many legal issues an academic medical center encounters, whether related to its clinical, academic and research missions. He also oversees UConn Health’s clinical risk management initiative.
A 1985 graduate of University of Virginia School of Law, Jeff served as a Law Clerk to Chief Judge T.F. Gilroy Daly (D. Conn), a transactional lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton, and a legal, business, and policy counselor in the insurance industry where he managed litigation, pre-litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters and led healthcare professional liability and group benefit claim operations. He also served as a government affairs executive for a prominent real estate concern.
Jeff’s pro bono record includes co-chairing mediation programs in state court and local high schools and, more recently, presenting at conferences for the HHS Office of Research Integrity, NIMH, and the Association of Research Integrity Officers. Jeff currently is a Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, a member of the Connecticut Hospital Association In-House Legal Counsel Meeting Group, an elected official in Simsbury, CT, and member for the University of Hartford College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Advisory Board.
