Jonathan Heinlein serves as Senior University Counsel at the University of Connecticut, where he advises on a wide range of legal matters impacting the university, with particular focus on commercial transactions, athletics, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and governance. He has more than a decade of experience representing clients across both the public and private sectors. Before joining UConn, Jon worked as in‑house counsel for an international corporation, as an associate director with the University of California, San Diego, and an extern with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
